E. W. Harvey shot and collected over thirty silent 16mm cine films between 1928 and 1933, which, as well as having a family history significance, are of interest to the history of shipping. These include ephemeral amateur films and professionally-made films and newsreel relating to his position at Furness, Withy & Co.
